Gina Casamassima, Executive Vice President, Operations

Gina Casamassima oversees Apprio’s support to federal health agencies, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Health and Human Services and military health organizations. She leads Apprio’s teams performing a broad variety of technical and program management activities ranging from building common technical models for these agencies to share electronic health records, to supporting the financial underpinnings of large technical programs.

She has more than 20 years of experience providing high-quality information technology (IT) and business solutions to government organizations to enhance performance of applications and technical solutions developed for federal agencies. Her expertise includes infrastructure, operations and software development including claims processing, business intelligence (BI), analytics and beneficiaries support. She has managed many IT projects using the Agile Project Management methodology.

Her government work spans CMS, the Food & Drug Administration, the Internal Revenue Services, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Justice and other agencies.

Casamassima earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Elms College, Chicopee, MA. She has certifications from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scaled Agile, Inc. as a SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist and from the Scrum Alliance as a Certified ScrumMaster. She has multiple government security clearances.
