Federal Veteran with 25+ Years of Senior Program and Project Management To Lead Apprio’s Specialized Public Sector Health Division into Third Decade
Washington, D.C., July 29, 2019 — Apprio, a leading provider of specialized technology solutions for the health, defense and homeland security markets, today announced the appointment of Mark Patzschke as vice president of corporate growth for Apprio’s federal health practice. Patzschke will build on Apprio’s existing strength in this domain, where the company already serves major federal health agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, the Federal Health Architecture, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and others.
In his new role, Patzschke will oversee federal health growth and operations and help to advance the company’s vision in the public sector as Apprio enters the third decade serving federal health programs. He will also oversee the company’s largest federal health contract vehicles, including SPARC, CIO-SP3 and HCaTS.
Patzschke most recently served as the HHS deputy division manager for ManTech where he oversaw organizational effectiveness and business process efficiencies, including systems development life cycle (SDLC) activities. ManTech acquired Edaptive Systems where Patzschke was an executive vice president and provided strategic direction, facilitated organizational change and balanced conflicting stakeholder requirements in the health IT arena.
“We’re excited to welcome Mark to our fastest-growing federal health practice. As the federal health space continues to modernize, we’re looking for the best and the brightest to help Apprio stay in front of new technology, policy and business advancements. Mark is the right person to lead this effort,” said Darryl Britt, Apprio’s president. “Mark will bring solutions that are firmly grounded in the best technology and best practices. He will impact all health programs operated throughout Apprio.”
During Patzschke’s extensive 25-year-plus career, he actively participated in business development to expand opportunities in the federal sector and worked to enhance relationships and build new ones. He worked in leadership roles for Edaptive Systems, Apex IT Services, Maricom Systems and other companies.
“Federal health programs are complex and challenging, and I’m impressed with how Apprio’s federal health practice has successfully tackled leading federal health challenges ranging from electronic health records to credentialing health professionals for emergencies,” Patzschke said. “I look forward to being part of Apprio and supporting federal agencies with agile practices to meet mission success.”
