August 2019 — Apprio employees volunteered with Hands on DC at Eliot-Hine Middle School to help teachers get organized in preparation for the 2019-2020 school year. With the school being under construction and the library packed in boxes, what might seem like a daunting task for some, was a relief for teachers and staff to have Apprio employees jump in and lend a hand. The team of volunteers worked to unpack, organize and put books back on the library shelves. An Apprio employee was in the school spirit and made a welcome sign for students returning for the school year. The Apprio team had a great time while supporting a good cause.
Hands on DC completes hundreds of projects in approximately 30 different schools across DC. Projects range from educational and school spirit murals to painting, cleaning, getting classrooms ready and landscaping projects.
