Washington D.C., August 3, 2011 – Apprio, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare IT, financial management and emergency response management services, today announced it has received a SeaPort-e Contract from the U.S. Navy. Apprio was selected to provide services to the Navy’s electronic platform in 22 functional areas, including services such as engineering, financial management and program management.

The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) compete their service requirements amongst SeaPort-e indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract holders. Apprio will be able to compete in response to requests for quotes (RFQs) released through this contract.

“Competing for and receiving the SeaPort-e contract is a validation of the talent and dedication of the Apprio team. We’ve grown dramatically in the past few years due to our success working with federal, state and local government agencies, and we view the SeaPort-e contract as a real opportunity to expand our footprint within the Navy. This is an exciting opportunity for Apprio, and we plan to take full advantage of it by bringing our expertise, hard work and dedication to each engagement with the Navy and Marines,” said Darryl Britt, president and CEO for Apprio, Inc.

The Seaport-e is the vehicle of choice for all commands and directorates under the U.S. Navy to procure IT, engineering and program management services.  This $4 billion contract vehicle will be for a period of five years with two possible option years.
